For Candidates

Had a recruiter who didn't understand your field, and went quiet when it mattered?

We only do civil and structural. Nothing about you goes to anyone without your say-so, and you will get a straight answer even when it is not the one you wanted.

Start with the move you want, not the jobs we happen to have.

A worthwhile career conversation covers more than title and salary. We want to understand the work you enjoy, the responsibility you want next, the environments where you do your best work, and what would need to change for a move to be worth making.

If an advertised role fits, we will tell you. If the better route is a confidential introduction to a business that is not advertising, we can explore that too.

How we represent you

How we represent you.

Seven steps, and you will know where things stand at every one of them.

  1. 01

    Understand

We talk through your technical background, project exposure, ambitions, priorities and non-negotiables. No rushed keyword call.

  2. 02

    Represent

With your permission, we present your experience and motivations accurately to carefully selected businesses. You know where your details are going and why.

  3. 03

    Introduce

When the interest is mutual, we arrange a proper conversation and keep the process clear from first meeting through to decision.

Your experience. Your direction. Your permission at every step.

Discovery call

A quick 15-minute call to understand what you're looking for, your motivations and preferences, and whether we're the right people to help.

Your consent

Detailed discussion and strategy

A 45 to 60 minute Teams call to understand your experience, expertise, interests and where you want to develop. Agree the roles and businesses you want to be considered for and set a clear strategy. Also where we agree what we'll share and get your consent to act for you. Nothing about you goes to anyone without your say-so.

Your introduction to the market

A detailed, personal introduction written to go alongside your resume and project portfolio. Not a CV fired into an inbox, a considered case for why you're worth meeting.

Your consent

Reaching the right companies

Methodical, and always with your consent. Where a company is actively engaged on a role, we tell you who they are and get your go-ahead before sending your details. Where it suits your goals, we also open confidential conversations with businesses that aren't advertising, presenting your experience without naming you. Your approval comes first, every time.

Honest feedback

Interview management

We gather the detail on the opportunity, bring it to you, and coordinate everything between you and the company, in person or over Teams. You're kept fully prepared, with honest feedback.

Offer and onboarding

We manage the offer, advising and negotiating on your behalf, then stay with you through your notice period and up to your start date and onboarding, counter-offers included.

Post Placement

Monthly check-ins once you've started, through to successful completion of your probation.

We only do two disciplines. That is the whole point.

See what we cover

Civil

Land development, subdivision, roads and highways, water and wastewater, stormwater and drainage, utilities and infrastructure.

Structural

Buildings from high-rise to residential, industrial, bridges, facades, remedial, temporary works and heavy structures.

Resources

Walk into the conversation knowing what you are worth.

Most people ask for a rise, or sit an interview they badly want, working off a guess. Real numbers for your discipline and level, what the market is actually paying, and how to prepare properly for the conversation you cannot afford to fumble.

Common questions

Do candidates pay a fee?
No. Candidates never pay Anjuna People.
Do I need to be actively looking?
No. Many useful conversations happen before someone decides to move. We can talk confidentially about the market and what might make a future move worthwhile.
Will you contact my current employer?
No. We do not approach your current employer, and your details do not go to any business without your explicit approval.
What if none of the live roles suit me?
Tell us what would. The right opportunity may be confidential, not yet advertised, or built around the right person. We will only come back to you when there is a relevant reason.
Can you help with salary advice?
Yes. We can give you a practical market view based on discipline, level, project experience, location and current demand. It is guidance rather than a guarantee, and we will explain the reasoning behind it.
Do you recruit outside Southeast Queensland?
Southeast Queensland is our core market, and we also cover Northern New South Wales. We are still happy to hear from civil and structural engineers considering the region or planning a move connected to it.

You do not need to be ready to resign to have a useful conversation.

Tell us what you are considering, what you would need from a move, and what you want an honest view on. It stays confidential.
